NEWCOMERS GET THE BIG WEIGHT FOR THE WIN We were anticipating over 21 boats for our 3rd Semi-Pro event of the season. Boy, were we surprised, launching 28 boats ready for a day of tournament fishing. Thanks to Markley Cove the day for us was full of preparation for weigh in and providing over 60 people with lunch. Markley Cove provided us with a check to compensate for the additional fees we pay to hold an event on Lake Berryessa. Joseph and I were able to provide our staff, Markley Cove staff, and most important our par- ticipants with Polish Sausages, chips, cookies, and drinks during weigh in. Newcomers Bradford and Natalie Manion weighed in15.61 pounds to take the win and the 1st place check of $829.00 and $405.00 in option money. Bradford was also happy to hold his check of $280.00 and the Big Fish plaque for his Big Bass that weighed in at 4.53 pounds. He also took home a Powell Rod certificate, Spro Frog, Yamamoto Baits, River2Sea frog, a Swim O swim bait, and some Tru-Tungsten plastics. It is not only the top winners that go home with something to show their hard work for the day we want everyone to have a chance to take something home. Ron and Lesa Tobey were 2nd place; dropshotting and Texas rigging bagged the team 12.01 pounds. Ron was happy to hold his second place plaque and letting Lesa hold the $480.00 place mon- ey and the $243.00 option money checks. Lesa also took home the
