provement projects. Aggie, his wife of 36 years (whom he credits as his REAL partner) is present at each of his tournaments and as- sists with the administrative duties of the weigh-ins. Bob is anxious to take his 4 grandsons fishing soon! Although both Stan and Bob call Oneida Lake their favorite bass fishing destination, they are quite accomplished tourna- ment fishermen on any body of water. A three-hour drive south finds them occasionally fishing Angler’s Choice tournaments on the Chesapeake Bay and the Potomac River, usually cash- ing checks there as well. Bob’s other fishing accomplishment includes winning his first Pennsylvania Bass Federation tournament. His ideal day on the wa- ter occurs often: launching his boat with Aggie early in the morn- ing to enjoy the sunrise first and catching fish, second. Stan’s fishing achievements outside Angler’s Choice include winning the 2000 Division l tournament on the Potomac River and going to the Nationals in 2001. He also won the BFL on Oneida Lake in 2007. How does he describe his perfect fishing scenario? Hot, 90 degrees, and no wind. When asked if they employ any of the techniques popularized by West Coast influences both Stan and Bob acknowl- edged that they have picked up on the drop shot trend and are pushing themselves hard to gain confidence in big swimbaits. Stan and Bob have the same objective at the beginning of each Angler’s Choice season. That is, to win enough money to cover entry
fees and expenses. I suppose that is why they are on the water so often. That lofty goal is almost always achieved ear- ly in the year. BW
