Weather conditions in North- ern California have been hit and miss this winter but the fth in- stallment of the Lake Berryessa Pro-Teams was blessed with beau- tiful spring like weather with temps in the 70’s. 21 teams ventured out to the Markley Cove tournament site for what turned out to be a somewhat tough tournament. The top teams reported that the sh were chewing pretty good, but for most it was a tough tourna- ment. Thanks to the 21 teams for coming to Markley Cove February 12, 2011; a great turnout again with some solid bags of sh com- ing to the scales. Taking rst place with an im- pressive limit tipping the scales at 18.77 pounds was the team of Jack and Colton Jeha from Alamo, CA. The duo anchored their limit with a solid 4.76 pound sh that was good for second place big sh Jack Jeha and his pint sized partner Colton bagged a limit and the win at Lake Berryessa on the day. Team Jeha pocketed just shy of $2,000 for the days work. Second place went to solo angler Stephen Seals of Windsor, CA. Stephen who was shing without partner Chris Franks boated a limit that weighed in at 16.32 pounds, earning him just over $1,000 for the day. Third place and tournament big sh honors were bestowed upon the Father & Son team of Shane and Tom Peirson of Ros- eville, CA. Team Peirson earned $796 for the day on the back of a 15.22 pound limit anchored by a 4.82 pound big sh. Fourth place went to Art Narverud and James Kimura with a 14.91 pound bag while fth place was secured by the team of Dave Perez and John Trujillo with 14.42 pounds. According to the top teams, most of the sh brought to the scales during the tournament came on shad and crawdad colored jigs and worms shed off main points in 20-40 feet of water. Some reaction bait sh were also taken in water ranging from 2-25 feet.
