ePisOde 7 of BassWestuSA TV found us on the lower Colo-
rado River, on beautiful Lake Havasu. Our guest for the day was swimbait guru Shawn Bailey of team Evergreen. Considered one of, if not the deadliest anglers on this reservoir, I couldn’t even put into words how excited I was to get in a boat again with Bailey. But as it seems when filming a reality show, Mother Nature wasn’t so excited. Brutal winds and a late spring cold front had really knocked the fishing down, so as usual it was the “dang Jamie I wish you guys had been here last week it was just insane!” When the weather fi- nally gave us a bit of a break we loaded our 2 trusty Legend’s and headed south through two to three footers and looked for some areas that might give us the protection we needed for good audio, camera stability, and of course catch a few fish. Well if you haven’t seen the show I won’t ruin for you but let’s just say this is one of those episodes that just doesn’t show case how incredible the fishing is on this reser- voir is or the talent we had with us. It’s definitely going to be a revenge filming for Season 2 of BassWestuSA TV. With that said we did manage some fish and got some great insights on how Bailey approaches this body of water. One thing about our format is we have one day to catch them, if we do we do, if we don’t we don’t, it’s the real side of bass fishing.
